Wendy Cadena has been with Iowa KidSight since 2007, starting as an Administrative Assistant, and was promoted to Operations Specialist in 2024. In her current role, she coordinates vision-screening efforts for children across Iowa, manages and supervises screening result processes, administrative procedures, and policies. Wendy is responsible for overseeing the Iowa KidSight MS Access database, coordinating the upload of screening results to various entities, and managing the Iowa KidSight's Volunteer Online Training Program to ensure volunteer proficiency. 

Her dedication to improving children's vision health has significantly impacted the children of Iowa, and she especially enjoys working with the Iowa Lion volunteers. During her spare time, Wendy likes to travel with her family, go camping, and enjoys hiking.
